Purnima is an Australian-Thai creative practitioner, researcher and educator. Her career intersects these three professional realms - multi-disciplinary artist, researcher and teacher. Influenced by contemporary research that argues for the combined benefits of creativity and arts at the heart of an individual’s wellbeing, learning and teaching, Purnima’s passion, specialisms in arts and education and trialled and tested techniques has seen her achieve much success practicing in multiple aspects of art, research and education. Purnima has lived and worked in Bangkok, Melbourne, Sydney and London – her unique heritage of Indian and Thai, along with her extensive international experience allows her to interact with a range of individuals from English and non-English speaking backgrounds. Purnima's artistic and professional practice is influenced by her rich cultural background of both Indian and Thai. Her art depicts an aesthetic fusion from the wealth of both heritages – something that is uniquely Purnima. Purnima has also curated numerous successful exhibitions in Melbourne and Sydney. She is passionate about developing and supporting established and emerging artists and teacher-artists globally.
