Paul Ray

A resident of Rockland Massachusetts Paul Ray graduated from Rockland High School in 2000. Since childhood he had limited verbal communication abilities, but always been a strong visual communicator. His Paintings exhibit his interpretive vision of a scene with magnificent shades of colors rather than a strictly realistic portrayal. Presently Paul is known for his expressive oil paintings of well known seascapes and seaside landmarks such as Nantasket Beach and Paragon Park. For several years he has enjoyed and focused on plein air painting. After high school he enrolled in Massasoit Community College, Canton, Ma and studied graphic design and fine arts for 4 years. He has studied privately with well known local artists Becky Haletky, John Kilroy and Michael Domina. Beginning in 2013 he has taken drawing and acrylic painting class at the School for Museum of Fine Arts, Boston to continue improving his drawing and painting skills. He still is active member of Hull Artists, Ex-member of Braintree Art Association, and the North River Arts Society. After high school Paul enrolled in Massasoit Community College, Canton, MA and studied graphic design/fine arts for 4 years. He has studied privately with well known local artists Becky Haletky, John Kilroy and Michael Domina. Beginning in 2013 he has taken drawing and acrylic painting classes at the Museum School of Fine Arts, Boston to continue improving his drawing and painting skills. After moving to Phoenix, Arizona in 2019 Paul joined Scottsdale Artists League, a large assoc of fine artists with his father, participated in a few local art shows, planning to take fall art courses in the famous Scottsdale artists school for learning contemporary/modern art.

Paul is a member of Scottsdale Artists League in Arizona, active member of Hull Artists, Braintree Art Association. His paintings have been exhibited at local libraries, galleries and several well-known south shore art festivals such as Quincy Artfest, Marina Bay, Mass community college art festivals, North River Barn sale including Hull Artists famous Open Studios Tour summer art sale. In 2016 Paul participated in
Braintree Art Assoc member group show
at the Boston State house. His painting was
highly acclaimed in person by Massachusetts State senator John F Keenan.
