In my artistic journey, the exploration of the yet-to-be has led me through various landscapes of creativity. I began with encaustic painting, a technique that creates fascinating texture and depth by applying heated wax onto canvas.
My fascination with the unpredictable then led me to randomly selected cinematographic scenes which became the basis for new paintings, allowing me to capture fleeting moments of visual storytelling and give them a new, lasting form. Transforming these snapshots into paintings created a dialogue between the ephemerality of the digital image and the permanence of painting, turning the fleeting shadows of pop culture into something timeless.
The third phase of my artistic research led me into the world of artificial intelligence. Using AI to generate images from sampled prompt texts opened up a completely new field of the yet-to-be. AI became a collaborative partner, enabling me to explore visual concepts that I might never have imagined on my own.
Each chapter of my artistic development reflects the pursuit of the unknown, which is at the core of my practice. By combining traditional techniques with modern technologies, I have sought to expand the boundaries of what is possible in painting and create...
I graduated in Visual Communication at the Berlin University of the Arts (HdK, today's UdK) Focus: Figurative Painting, Experimental Abstraction, Landscape, Portrait and Sculpture.
Since 2003 I am a member of the Professional Association of Visual Artists Berlin (BBK)
