Shauna Southam

Shauna Southam is a practicing Fine Artist based in Dubai, UAE. She creates mixed media artworks, specialising in drawing, painting and fine art printmaking. Her unique designs have been exhibited in galleries, art exhibitions and international art fairs. Her work is sought by private collectors and corporate clients, which includes bespoke, commissioned artwork for private homes, industry and hospitality spaces.

Shauna's process as an artist is adaptive, inventive, and multi-layered. She enjoys the challenge of combining different techniques, media and materials to create hybrid artworks, celebrating expressive mark-making using line, shape, pattern and vivid colour.

Inspired by her passion for art history, world cultures, traditional textiles, ceramics and hand-crafted jewellery, she creates contemporary artworks that explore the value of artefacts, hand-made work and beauty in an increasingly globalised and digital world. These tangible links between past and present are weaved into the story of her work.
