Judy Lew Loose

Judy Lew Loose is an accomplished watercolor artist whose career spans more than four decades. Known for taking the medium to new heights, she blends luminous color, light, and shadow with a distinctive touch of pointillism. Her use of tiny dots of pure color introduces a fresh, contemporary technique to watercolor painting—one that she has pioneered and continues to evolve. Her works are held in both professional collections and private collections across the country.

Judy’s artistic foundation is rooted in formal training and lifelong exploration. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the prestigious Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, and continued her studies for two years at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco. Throughout her career, she has built a reputation for amplifying the drama of a moment and uncovering the radiance within any subject.

Her passion for watercolor is driven by a desire to elevate the medium to the same level of recognition and permanence as oil painting, with a place in public, corporate, and museum collections.
