Bernice Grundy

I began painting in 1988 after teaching science for 18 years. I was introduced to watercolour painting initially by Clare Hackney and then began using other media after attending a variety of Adult Education classes and workshops. Colour and the effects of light on subjects such as flowers and landscape continue to attract my attention.

In 1991 I became an exhibiting member of the Farnham Art Society and have exhibited with them at the James Hockey Gallery at UCA and at the Farnham Maltings. In 2002 I joined the Guildford Art Society and have exhibited with them since 2003. My work was used recently to publicize a Flower Festival in the village where I live and also in the brochure published by Guildford Borough Council to advertise exhibitions there.
