Artist, Earthling, and resident of Bron Yr Aur. Driven by a passion for capturing the wild beauty and untamed spirit of the world around me. I create art, music, and soundscapes that fuse natural elements with abstract, surrealist interpretations. Deeply influenced by life at the legendary Bron-Yr-Aur cottage my work draws from the rugged Welsh landscapes and explores the harmony between nature and human expression.
Working with materials like slate, stone, and wood sourced directly from Bron-Yr-Aur, Boohai’s art is physically and spiritually rooted in the environment. These organic elements bring a raw, tactile dimension to their pieces, blending earthy textures with abstract, often surreal, visual storytelling.
Beyond visual art, Boohai’s experimentation with sound produces immersive soundscapes that mirror the emotional depth and natural inspiration behind their work. This multi-sensory approach allows a deeper exploration of themes like memory, transformation, and the primal connection between nature and humanity.
Currently focused on a series of abstract collages and mixed media pieces, Boohai’s evolving art continues to push creative boundaries, resonating with those who seek a deeper connection to nature and the abstract.
