Time, outsider characters and unusual figures make up the plastic landscape of my work. Addressing contemporary problems from a personal and constantly evolving perspective. I celebrate beauty as an added value to the critical element for what I consider to be my ethical and aesthetic work. Always within expressionism and art brut as fundamental style tools to make my paintings.

The Andalusian painter Roberto Gutiérrez Currás (1974), born into a family of artists in Seville, works in the visual arts, within the field of applied arts and contemporary art, since 2004. From that date to the present, the painter settled In Marbella, he has generated various personal and collective projects, as well as participated in conferences and worked with art galleries such as Carré D'artistes in France and Artillery in Mexico, in addition to the online galleries Saatchi Art and Singulart.
His creative work is known internationally: New York and Sedona, Arizona in the United States; Shanghai, People's Republic of China; Mexico City, Veracruz and Yucatán in Mexico, among other places. Likewise, his work appears in private collections in Sweden, Germany, Romania, the United States, Australia, Spain and Mexico, among others.
He has also worked in the field of education, as an arts teacher for young people with disabilities, in Xalapa, capital of the State of Veracruz.He currently resides in the city of Marbella where he manages his new projects.
