The main subject of Frank Dekkers ( Nijmegen 1961, the Netherlands) paintings, drawings and woodcuts is the Dutch river landscape. The ancient streams, polders and rivers of the Dutch delta are to him a vast source of inspiration. The majority of his works are produced on location: standing in the midst of his subject, along the river, even during winter or in pouring rain.Frank Dekkers paintings and graphics are shown at many exhibitions in the Netherlands. His artwork was also exhibited abroad, in Belgium, Japan and Taiwan. During the past years De KunstSalon presented his landscapes at artfairs like Realism Amsterdam or Art Hamburg.
Frank Dekkers studied painting and graphic arts at the Academy of Visual Arts in Utrecht. He followed private tuition at the atelier of the Dutch painter Kees Bol, Heusden.
