Hannah Lane

I studied at Kansas City Art Institute and graduated in 2020 with a BFA in Painting and BA in Art History.
I create my paintings with idea of technology in mind. I use AI/coded dice to create my paintings. I use the dichotomy of the positivities of technology and the negativities to talk about the "double-edged" sword that is technology. My art is all based off a system that I created along with using AI/coded dice to help me create them.
I worked at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art as a provenance intern in the East Asian section for a year and a half. This really made me recognize that I wanted to make my art as archival as possible and also all the possibilities that abstract art could talk about.
