Artist Biography

Taline Temizian (b. 1978, Fresno, USA) is a London-based artist who works with multiple media including paintings, Kinetic & Light installations, collages, using systems, signs and processes to explore the interplay between personal narrative and cultural history through science, art and poetry. Temizian’s practice is characterized by a wide range of influences, from modernist painting and anthropology to contemporary medical imagery and research, particularly that of cardiology and neurology.

Temizian holds a post-graduate certificate in visual communication from London College of Communication at the University of the Arts London (2010) where she also studied jewellery design and art direction at Central Saint Martins (2005). She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Aleppo, Syria (2002), and is a graduate of the École supérieure des arts et techniques de la mode, Paris (1997).

Recent solo exhibitions of Temizian’s artwork includes Systems & Networks SKETCH London (2016), START fair SAATCHI Gallery (2016), and Eat My Heart curated by Sasha Bailey at Carousel, London (2015) and Maastricht, during the TEFAF Art Fair. Her participation in international group shows has included SPACE 2016, London, in association with Geoff Leung Foundation, The Fall of Rebel Angels, an independent exhibition curated by Vanya Balogh at the 56th Venice Biennale (2015) and the Museum of Broken Relationships, which exhibited at the Museum für Wohnkultur, Basel (2015), and now resides as a permanent collection and museum in Zagreb.
