Born in the Grisons, Switzerland.
Following intensive studies in fresco restauration and painting, the artist left Switzerland in his early twenties, to pursue his course as a freelance artist.
During the following years in Rome, Amsterdam, London, Dublin, Lugano & Zurich, he could establish himself in due course not only receiving recognition for his work on canvas but also for his imaginative approach in incorporating art in interior and exterior spaces. Numerous examples of his work, both in public and private places stand testimony to his artistic abilities.
Claudio Viscardi, is a descendent to a long line of artist and architects, which were active in the european courts for many generations. Perhaps the most famous to mention, would be Giovanni Antonio Viscardi (1645-1713)court architect to emperor Maximillian II.
