Jerzy Pietruczuk

Jerzy Pietruczuk is a Polish artist working in the field of digital graphics, digital painting and photography. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, Poland.
He received his diploma in 1992 in the linocut and woodcut studio of Professor Franciszek Bunsch. He studied painting in the studios of Professor Stanisław Batruch and Professor Jerzy Nowosielski. In 2008 he received his Ph.D. from the University of Silesia in Katowice. He works at the Institute of Art of the University of Silesia as an assistant professor. His work could be described as allusive abstraction, balancing on the border between pure abstraction and representation.
In most of his recent works, one can observe an expressive expansion of color in a pointyllism way.
