Marie-Alix Hadacek

I have been working for many years for wall covering agencies.
At the same time I continue my personal practice that I started at the Fine Art School years ago.
I often approach my pictorial work in a serial manner : one painting leads to another and so on until I decide the development is complete.
I use everyday photography as a starting point : this way I can identify and archive places, characters, scenes that could make up the picture.
I choose anecdotal topics from my surroundings that allow me to introduce a new story to the viewer.
The common thread remains imaginary : I attempt to paint on the edge of narration.

Graduated from the Fine Art and Design School of Saint Étienne France in 2004
