Hi, yes our mind and thoughts are the driving force behind us and I was optimistic when I joined the Saatchi Art platform. I was also very optimistic when I started to offer my art to be purchased as well, but the truth is I'm Bipolar and unfortunately one of the side effects are big ideas and thoughts, and I've once again felt victim to my own thoughts. I thought I could make a living from my art but I'm at the brink of giving up and now believe that if I can't sell my art then theres no point in making more art its better to have new experiences make new memories so I want to buy a bicycle again and just go ride my bike as my health and Mental Health is more important to me than getting likes for my art but no sales.And just to join SArt I had to buy 75 cardboard tubes to ship my art works in so now I just want to break even on my expenses at least or rather that than putting this experience down to a loss.
Life took unexpected turns, and I stepped away from photography in 2009 for a time. But in 2013, I found a renewed sense of purpose behind the lens through wildlife photography. Some of my wildlife images were published in Wildlife Photographic in 2017, and by 2019, I had launched a photo safari business guiding photographers...
I enrolled to study photography at Cape Peninsula Technikon in Cape Town, but dropped out due to learning disabilities. Still, I never gave up on my dream and continued pursuing photography through self-education, passion, and real-world experience.
I’ve taken part in two group exhibitions — one while studying photography in Cape Town and another during the time I ran my portrait studios in Norway. More to come — watch this space.
