Adriana Miranda (b. 1995) is a Chicago-based painter whose work merges Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art with autobiographical storytelling. Originally from Phoenix, Arizona and raised in Oak Park, Illinois, she has been painting since early childhood and now brings a playful yet unflinching lens to themes of memory, cultural identity, and emotional legacy.
Miranda’s highly textured, color-saturated canvases are rooted in the language of nostalgia; referencing pop culture, childhood symbolism, and personal archives. Her visual vocabulary is shaped by artists like David Choe and Paul Klee, but her voice is unmistakably her own: irreverent, tender, and deeply human.
In the past four years, her work has gained momentum across Chicago’s art scene, including solo shows at Arc Gallery, Cherry Mountain Arts, and River North Design District. Her work has been featured by Chicago Gallery News, Hypebeast, and Block Club Chicago.
With a growing list of collectors and press recognition, Miranda represents a new wave of emerging artists redefining narrative-based abstraction. Her vision is rooted in joy with aspirations to exhibit internationally and connect audiences across borders through color, memory, and truth.
