I was born in Italy and I've been drawing since when I was a very little child.
I'm an illustrator, a painter and a mixed-media artist; I make papier-mache sculptures, and I have recently been experimenting with fabric design.
Art is my best way to celebrate life, its beauties, its infinite little daily wonders. It's also a means of establishing deep connections and special bonds.
My childhood was influenced by my love for animals and natural world, which continue to inspire my work today. I'm a seeker of the spiritual and I believe that every piece of art can be a poetic place, where memories and emotions emerge, creating connections and dialogues with the viewer.
When painting, I strongly try to be less in control, to encourage the happenstance, to explore and manifest the unknown. I would like to be just an instrument, a hand, a brush, and art be the guide. As the layers build over and over again, something unexpected happens, revealing beauty, peace, and a pinch of magic.
I work in a variety of mediums, but I prefer painting with acrylic, collage and mixed mediums, on canvas, paper, cardboard, wood.
I'd love that my art would light up your rooms and give you long times of joy and peacefulness.
After attending the International School Of Graphics in Venice, I started my career as an illustrator, publishing almost fifty books for international publishers, making board games, packaging, posters, murals, plates, stage costumes.
I developed my style and techniques as a self-taught, always looking for new ways and new means of expression.
I have exhibited my work in about one hundred solo and group exhibitions, such as Biennal of Illustration in Bratislava, Biennal of Illustration in Barreiro, American Illustrators Society Exhibition in New York, Bologna Children’s Book Fair, Children's illustration Exhibition in Sarmede, International Board On Books for Young People in Rio De Janeiro, Itabashi Art Museum in Tokyo.
My work is part of private and corporate collections, internationally.
