Allen Hatch

Born in 1954, Detroit MI., Allen is an outsider / folk artist living in Los Angeles, CA USA. Being quite versatile, Allen has worked with many different medias, painting, video and film making. Along with set painting, he is known as the "Artist to the Stars" Notable collectors of his paintings, sculptures and images are: Glenn Close, Robert DiNiro, Michael J Fox, Jeremy Irons, Larry Mullens (drummer U2), Wolfgang Puch, Lorne Michaels, Paul Giamatti, Bill Pullman and others during a 42 year career.

I've always been involved with painting and art construction, set and scenic painting, illustration, sign painting, fine arts; film and video production; folk art automaton, 3-D fabrication, frame restoration, steampunk design, art installation, etc. I enjoy what I call 'Manual Illustration -painting instead of computer generated imagery. I actually enjoy art restoration and often restore old paintings for Friends and clients.
