Photographer & Painter Ignacio Alvar-Thomas tells extraordinary stories of diverse cultures and communities through a fashion-inspired lens. Through both intimate and expansive perspectives, he reveals his subjects in vivid detail to share the world’s beauty. His photographic work can be found in private and public collections globally, notably the Tyshen Collection, The George Eastman Museum, Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, Smithsonian Art Museum, Madrid Fine Arts Museum (SPAIN).
Ignacio has also received over 80 awards and honors for his images including a distinction from the Royal Photographic Society. In 2020, he was named number one in Spain and six globally for black and white photography by One Eyeland. His artwork has been featured in many publications such as it’s spread into public and private collections across Europe, Asia and North America. Fine Arts Doctor graduated in UCM (1988-1993) His work its been published in the most prestigious art and equestrian magazines across the globe such us: Ecuestre magazine (Spain), Kentaur magasin (Sweden), Passion PRE (México), Galope magazine (Spain) Equisens (Spain),Equus Classic (Germany), Arab Horse Magazine (USA),Noob Hill Gazzete (USA), Jours de Cheval (France)..
