I am Anton Soldatov, an artist from Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. From an early age, I was drawn to the expressive power of art—whether through pencil, brush, or acrylic paints. Since 2012, I have focused on developing my own creative identity, where each brushstroke becomes a dialogue with an imagined world.
In my paintings, realism meets a gentle impressionism, allowing me to convey subtle emotional nuances through structure, texture, and the interplay of light. I find ongoing inspiration in the vast Kazakh steppes and the majestic expanses of the ocean. My favorite subjects include landscapes, still lifes, and female portraits, striving to capture their hidden beauty and depth.
My journey was not always linear: for a time, I served in a border guard unit, which taught me discipline and reverence for the surrounding world. Later, I traveled to Japan and immersed myself in traditional Eastern aesthetics. It was there that I discovered the importance of the finest gradations of light and shade, a concept that has since become central to my art. Today, I continue to explore new techniques and expand my artistic horizons, creating pieces where nature, culture, and imagination unite in harmonious expression.

2009–2011: Studied the fundamentals of drawing and painting in a local art studio in Astana.
2012–2013: Refined my oil and acrylic techniques through specialized courses taught by established Kazakhstani artists.
2014: Attended an international workshop in Tokyo focusing on contemporary Eastern aesthetics and calligraphy, further expanding my cross-cultural artistic perspective.
2016: Completed an online masterclass offered by a renowned European art institution, delving into modern painting trends and mixed-media approaches.
Ongoing self-education: Continuously exploring both classical and contemporary methods, keeping pace with emerging global art movements.

2014: Held my debut solo show, “Dialogues with Imagination,” in a boutique gallery in Astana, featuring a series of realistic landscapes.
2016: Participated in the traveling group exhibition “Visions of Central Asia,” displayed in Almaty and Bishkek, celebrating cultural diversity across the region.
2018: Co-exhibited at “From the Steppes to the Oceans” in the Modern Culture Center (Astana), juxtaposing my seascapes with works by fellow Kazakhstani artists.
2020: Showcased new works inspired by Kazakh folklore at “Virtual Expressions,” an international online gallery platform.
2021: Presented “Light and Shadow,” an online solo exhibition featuring oil paintings influenced by traditional Eastern aesthetics, hosted on a global art forum.
2022: Joined the collaborative exhibition “East Meets West” at a contemporary art space in Berlin, blending Eastern-inspired motifs with modern Western techniques.
