In creating this work, I explored the fusion of figurative, metaphysical and symbolic elements, using digital technique. Marco Stocco, an Italian artist, born in 1970, lives between Italy and Brazil. Self-taught, he began to show an interesting curiosity for drawing at a young age for his creative impulse. Attracted by art and figurative expression, he began his first pictorial works in which he often represents enigmatic female forms and faces. Over the years he also dedicated himself to other jobs where he could express his creativity and so he accompanied works as an interior decorator, restoration and also manifested his creativity in culinary art and in some of his exhibitions he enthusiastically combined his pictorial art with the gastronomic one. In the middle of his life's journey, Marco moved to Brazil (where he currently resides) where the varied cultural vivacity initially seemed to disorient him but then he metabolized and perceived the great opportunity for an interior opening, an enrichment for the world of sensations. He treasures all these experiences that led him to express his creativity to give life and elevate his pictorial works. In 2009 he created "Orfeo", an enigmatic and contemplative character in which he channels fragments and sensations perceived in certain moments of his artistic journey. Orfeo becomes a sort of "inner photojournalist" and begins to create a collection of works such as "Orfeo artistic tastings" or "Orfeo stay alive - stay creative" where he represents moments of his inner trip expressed through painting. While I'm asking myself if the eyes are a mirror of our soul, I answer: Orfeo is indeed o soul without mirrors, o soul which is in harmony with the eyes that are watching him. Marco Stocco
