I live in Moscow, the city at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, which inspires me to work brightly, with pleasure. The culture of Russia, formed from contrasts, conservative and avant-garde, is the source of my personal experiences and emotions, which I express by the artist's language: with colors onto canvas, with form into glass, with small fragments of mosaics - into the interior. I have formulated my art creative work as Smart Abstraction. Yes, my work is saturated with color and energy, which primarily affects the senses. Such emotionality, by the way, is inherent in Russian art in general. Not only painting, but also literature of Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Chekhov ..and music of Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Stravinsky ... However, after the impact of the first impression, the intellectual viewer needs further development: that is why precise thoughtful spatial composition is so important to me. I came to abstraction quite consciously. The XX and XXI centuries are the time of the development of technology, the discovery of the world of the atom, the era of manned spacewalk and the creation of a global Internet network. All this should give birth to a new language in the visual arts. And I want to speak with my contemporaries in this language. It is interesting that the choice of technique and technology for a particular series of works depends on the image that I want to present to the viewer. If I want to show the effect of the texture, its brutality and layering, then I try to do things that are restrained in color. And, conversely, color series often work precisely on a plane, so it is easier to create the illusion of three-dimensional space. I can get the images from different sources. A strong inspiration for me is music, in particular the music of the Baroque era with its pathos, emotional turns, mass of details and nuances but, at the same time, clear compositional structure. Classical art education gave me the necessary base of concepts and rules, without which it is impossible to create a work of art. Otherwise, it will be just a scattering of letters that do not add up to a meaningful text. Preparing to create a future series of works, I can spend hours in museums or surf the Internet resources that give me sources of inspiration. For that I made a whole virtual library of images. Each one of which can be a trigger for a future art work.
