My work weaves together the influences of science, nature, music, and human experience. I creates vibrant and textured pieces, often described as having a "jazzy" quality, reflecting the rhythm and flow of smooth jazz music. My paintings are typically bright, colorful, and exhibit a strong graphic quality, drawing inspiration from the visual elements and textures of flowers, architecture, fabrics, gardens, and cityscapes. Some reviewers have said that the emotion in my brushwork is reminiscent of 20th Century Abstract and Abstract Expressionist painters like Richard Diebenkorn and Jackson Pollock. My art is driven by my understanding of physics, especially the principles of light and energy, and my experimentation with chemistry, pigments, and materials to achieve unique textures and vibrant color palettes. I aim to evoke emotions and connect with viewers, and, in doing so, I often leave my pieces untitled, allowing for subjective interpretation of the intended feelings within my creations. Through my multifaceted approach, I seek to offer viewers a rich experience that resonates on both intellectual and emotional levels, inviting them to engage more deeply with the world around them.
