Sumedha Randev Goel

As a child, I was always fond of color which found an outlet in the colorful paintings I did on anything vertical in my home. My creative instinct drew me towards Fashion. I finished my MBA and began working as a visual merchandiser with the international French clothing brand Lacoste . Store design and display helped me polish my creative urge further and I went on to work with other brands of international repute like Benetton and Hindustan Unilever Limited. My tryst with painting formally began in 2003 under the tutelage of renowned contemporary artist Kavita Jaiswal.

All the Holy Scriptures say that aware or not, we are all on an ethereal path in search of our inner peace. The secret of successful living is the knowledge of self-realization that empowers and manifests itself in various ways. I paint with this philosophy in my heart and with my brush.
My paintings are in oils, acrylics and watercolors on Canvas and paper portraying the belief that active life rests on a foundation of thoughtful reflection. The form and color seems to exist for each other in a nurturing space, which gives the freedom to reflect on life even in the midst of urban chaos.
