Bio:
The Los Angeles punk rock scene exploded in 1978 and I wanted out of my parents’ home, away from the autonomy of mental and physical violence. I managed to get a job at a bakery, shoe store, and retirement home as a waitress, which helped me squeak by and rent a guest house; there where a basement existed and a punk rock band was formed.

I was 14.

The band experienced quite a bit of local notoriety. Despite this, I was never allowed to hang out in the clubs; I was only there to perform. The keyboard
player in the group, groomed me for other purposes until it ended around two years later.

He was 30.

By the time I turned 33, I had become deeply addicted to drugs, and penniless.

It was only then that I understood how dangerous loneliness could be; the emptiness of hunger caused me to lose my grip on reality, and without spiritual guidance, I was unable to find kindness in the world around me. I had become disoriented.

I was lost.
