Benami Stern

Benami Stern (b. 1978, Budapest) is a Hungarian-born artist whose work is deeply rooted in his personal history and life experiences.

Stern's art is a personal journey—he paints the events of his past, then hides them beneath layers of abstraction. This process is his way of understanding and transforming his own story, believing that by reshaping his memories into something beautiful, he contributes to healing the world in his own way. His paintings are often described as having a magical, almost meditative effect on viewers, drawing them into a space where emotions, memories, and personal reflections intertwine.

Initially pursuing a career in business, he studied design at The Open University in London, earned a degree in Global Management from Salford University in Manchester, and later completed his MBA in Hong Kong. With two decades in the international defense industry, he has traveled through conflict zones, witnessing hardship, resilience, and the complexities of the human experience. His time in Haiti, where he encountered both extreme poverty and human strength, had a lasting impact on his creative vision.
