Barbara Florez

I consider myself a cross media artist, comfortable with traditional art materials, and excited by new medias. I am most intrigued by the mind-body connection's intersection with science and technology. The paintings I show here, are part of a series called "Acts of Creation", referring to both the practice of creating, and cellular mitosis at the quantum level.

I received my BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute, and MFA from the University of WA, at Seattle.
