Chetna D'Souza

I'm drawn to the space between abstract and representational art. I love using bold colors and thick impasto to build up texture and depth. My brushstrokes are often gestural and expressive, adding a sense of movement and energy to the canvas.

I aim to create a dynamic interplay between form and expression, where the elements on the canvas harmonize to create a unified whole. Whether I'm painting figures, objects, or landscapes, I seek to capture a sense of quietude and introspection.

Cowboys, horses, and human figures are recurring subjects in my work. I'm fascinated by their energy and stillness, and I enjoy reimagining them through my artistic lens.

My creative process is fueled by an exploration of color, texture, and form. I find inspiration in both the natural world and the human experience, and I strive to translate those observations into compelling visual narratives.
