Chinmay Das

My name is Chinmay Das. I am a contemporary painter by profession and I have been working in the field of art and design for the past 20 years. I live in Kolkata but my roots are in Bangladesh. I do not merely want to capture the image with brushes but rather with careful strokes. I want to give society a new life once more. Bright enough to blind the eyes of the ignorant. Each and every piece contains a fragment of myself, a fragment that I have acquired through time. Travelling has given me experience. I have always tried to portray these elements in my art. My art is my voice, a powerful interpretation of my deepest thoughts, hidden emotions, and strongest desires. The images I have created are coined from personal experiences, fears, and interests. These ideas and experiences are better drawn and painted than spoken.

Born on 18th November 1967 in Kolkata
1st Class Diploma in Applied Art (Commercial Arts) from Indian Art College, Kolkata in 1990.

2007 My artworks are displayed in BKTPP (Govt. of West Bengal)
1998 Appointed by TILL Limited for commission work of painting and sculpture
