Christian Fuchs

Christian Fuchs (1979) is a Peruvian-Chilean artist whose work revolves around rethinking family and personal memory. His latest series, “Transgeneration,” uses photography as a medium to evoke his ancestors. Through performance, costumes, characterization and sometimes: prosthetics, Fuchs is able to use his body as a vehicle to transport us to the past. “Whatever it takes,” he says--going all the way from shaving to letting a beard grow for almost a year, he strives to appear as similar as the character he is going to play.
