Viewing my art should not be a passive activity. I hope my art evokes an emotion, conscious or otherwise, that makes you consider my art a part of you."

Chris grew up in the industrial heartlands of England filled with dark architectural form and line but through a chance encounter, with a now lifelong friend, he discovered the hills and mountains of Wales which opened his eyes to shape, colour and texture; the pale horses and green dawns, the silvers of the streams, the russets and very golden leaves in autumn, the brilliant white of winter, the blue-green of the sea.

Later he explored Europe, north and South America, the Middle East and Asia. The vibrant palettes he saw, the vivid hues and cultural references, influence Chris's work today revealing a fresh, colourful, passionate perspective.
