Often physical structures are discussed over "unmanned architecture". People and identities seem to remain outside and beyond the boundaries of the field. However, although it seems to have been excluded, human issues constantly remind themselves.
Architecture is not about producing an object (building) and the project that represents it. The two are happening in a constantly shared, recurring cognitive environment. Danai Ilyadu tries to unfold/understand this relationship between the human, memory, space and ruination with her Architectural Photography and Collage techniques. We can also call this, an attempt to incorporate what has been erased into the cognitive realm of architecture.
The discourse of cultural or natural heritage offers a fragmentary form of governance in memory of our roots. On the other hand, the function and conceptual possibilities of photography give us the opportunity to participate in a dialogue with time and movement, forming alternative connections with different people, generations and cultures. The artist continues to search and explore these possibilities between the discussions of memory, culture and returning to the essence, by immortalizing moments and using visual arts.
