Daniela Huhurez

Since my childhood I have been in touch with the artistic environment, having spent most of my time in my fathers studio, a gifted painter. I studied Graphic Arts both in the High-School and University. I graduated in 2004 the George Enescu University of Arts. In 2006 at the same University I obtained a Master of Fine Arts Degree. As a technique, I use the ink on paper. I choose carefully the sort of paper either finer or more textured depending on my next piece of work. I like the contrast between black and white because it is strong and eloquent, capable of captivating the onlooker. Sometimes I use a certain colour for its symbolism, for emphasizing a state of mind, a feeling. I focus on the way I organize different types of points, lines and shapes in creating artistic structures. I frequently use curbed lines for conferring dynamism and rhythm on my works.The symmetry, asymmetry, rhythm and balance are the means of artistic expression I use in trying to create a surrealist space. The flight from reality through art represents a pleasant and fascinating experience.
