My Parents immigrated from England to the USA. I Live in San Diego, California USA. with my Italian wife/painter/poet Anna Zappoli. I am a self taught painter. I work in series that include subjects that have a personal feeling for me. What's most important to me is the handling of the paint, the artist's 'fingerprint.' I prefer to work on small canvas, no bigger than 24"x24" My paintings are in collections in New York, Chicago, Minneapolis MN. Hollywood, CA. USA. Cuba, New Zealand. Among others.

Self taught painter. I started to paint after leaving school. After viewing an exhibit of paintings by Toulouse Lautrec, I was inspired to buy books about other painters. They were & are my teachers. I paint whatever inspires me.
