Donghwi Dongza

DONGZADONGHWI is a multidisciplinary artist based in Seoul, South Korea.
His practice explores the emotional and psychological landscapes that emerge between everyday life and imagined ideals, between inner states and external realities. Drawing from childhood memories of freedom and the tension between personal desire and societal boundaries, DONGZADONGHWI creates visual expressions that are both intimate and universal.

Working across painting, moving image, and animation, the artist transforms emotional energy into layered, symbolic forms. A recurring motif in his work is the “Bird”—a character that embodies raw emotion, silent transformation, and empathetic connection. Through vivid acrylic textures and symbolic compositions, the Bird becomes a medium for healing and shared vulnerability.

His work carries a message of hope and emotional resonance. In a world full of complexity and turbulence, he offers a quiet invitation: to feel deeply, connect sincerely, and believe in the possibility of growth and healing through art.
