Donny Wade

A lot of “About Me” pages share how they wanted to be an artist since they were young or were apprentices under master artists. That’s not my story. In fact, I’ve spent the majority of my career as a hair stylist, using my creative talents to help men, women, and children feel confident in how they look and feel.
 My creative journey started with a few crayons and pencils on the floor of my childhood bedroom at age 4. I ruined my a few of my mom’s walls and carpets, but exploring art eventually pointed me to my dream job. I studied art at the University of North Texas and have always been influenced by music, film, and artists like Roy Lichtenstein and Keith Haring. The thrill of being able to use my natural gifts has encouraged me to paint the people and things that I find fascinating and hopefully bring joy, color, and a bit of fun into someone’s home or workplace.
