Evelyn Sorohan is a Clare-based contemporary visual artist. Her textured, vibrant, 3D paintings can be found in public and private collections in Ireland and abroad.

I studied art in both IADT and NCAD in Dublin, whilst I studied education in DCU. I've only recently taken a career break from teaching to pursue my passion for art. In the last few years, I've been fortunate enough to have been selected to exhibit my artwork in both regional, national and international art exhibitions. My work can be found in both public and private art collections in Ireland and further afield. To see why and how I create watch this video:https://youtu.be/rGk0_KkL4vY

Sorohan’s work was recently exhibited in the Galway Arts Centre (GAC) and the Gallery of Modern Art Waterford (GOMA). In April she held her third solo exhibition entitled; Plastic Imprints. The paintings in the exhibition were both tranquil and provocative: they lured the viewer closer while urging them to make personal connections and to consider their own ‘plastic Imprint’ as they live their daily lives.
Over eight hundred adults and children looked and responded to the exhibition. It was a resounding success. I am deeply humbled as the artist that so many people were interested in my process and work. This motivates me to continue creating and teaching as a contemporary artist.
