Giancarlo Scarlata

My artistic research is centred toward a great number of subjects all inexorably connected with man and society at the same time. I am attracted by individual daily behaviours like interpersonal relations in today's multicultural society but also of housing problems ( Architecture an interior design), from the imposition of beauty ideals on the individual and the incessant media conditioning on persons whether they it or not.
I plan and carry out artistic work heterogeneous forms of expression ranging from painting to collage, from the touch-up photos to design.
I like to interpretation of the subject in ironic and provocative way - especially self-parody. I am a passionate colourist.

I graduated in painting at the Academy of fine art "Albertina" (of Turin) in Italy.
I'm also a designer.
