Gail Winbury

I was born in Chicago Illinois, USA and raised in New Jersey. I went to college and graduate school in Massachusetts and now live in New Jersey. My art studio is in an industrial complex a factory owned by one of the Johnson Brothers with 65 other art studios.
I am an abstract artist specializing in contemporary oil painting and collage. My work is in exhibitions throughout the globe. It has been seen in the United States, Italy, Germany, London, UK, Israel, Mexico, and Athens, Greece. It is in corporate and private collections in the States, Germany, London, UK, Milan and Matera Italy, Mexico, and Athens, Greece.
I participated fellowships and residencies includingThe School of Visual Arts,Manhattan, NY, with The Bau Foundation, Italy, CastleHill in Truro, Mass., and World of Co Residency in Bulgaria. I received a grant from the Jewish Federation for a residency/artist exchange in Arad, Israel, and I participated in a master class with noted artist Joan Snyder.
A solo exhibition at Kean University, is open from August 27 through December 3rd, 2024. Reception is September 26th. A recent solo museum exhibition at The Wilson Museum in Vermont closed March, 2023.My work has shown in OTAContemporary, Santa Fe, NM 73Se...
