Huck Orban was born 1951. Male. His profession includes 25 years as owner of a graphic design and lithography company and more recently 22 years as owner of a country conservancy in the Drakensberg World Heritage site and an award winning bistro and restaurant.
Huck is a highly regarded photographer whose works include both realist, detailed landscape works and constructed works that fuse the reality captured by his camera with layers of personal interpretation. In his work reality is subjected to the investiture of content surrounding the subject matter. His habit of studying the textures of the subjects he photographs which, in post production is layered on the original subject matter to represent the "heart" of what seems visible but transcends the subjects of his photographs.
Huck has judged and curated photography competitions and exhibitions and has held and directed nature and landscape workshops across southern Africa.
His photographs feature in collections of both private homes and institutions across the globe.
Studied forestry and land management
