"Life is like a rough wave, suffering and happiness are repeated. I'm drawing a story about an individual's psychology and an artist's attitude in it."

Drawing waves is recording my determination to balance with the center of life. Waves symbolize the huge hegemony of life that sweeps and attracts us, and replace people living in the present era, including myself, with certain objects, to construct the relationship between individuals and society in the picture.

I also pay attention to the collective ideology that individuals expect and the confusion and instability of that ideology. Independent human beings are essentially concerned with the ideology, pressure, gaze, and at the same time, the two-sided community comfort that they have no choice but to rely on. It also reflects my desire to find my center and live freely among the waves in the ever-changing standards of right and wrong.

I wanted to convey this story smoothly, so the way of expression also needed softer materials. The form of waves was taken from the traditional styles of East Asia, including Korea in the past, and gradually transformed into my own form of expression.
