Ilona Kosobuko

I was born on September 17, 1966 in Minsk, Belarus.
Since 1999 — a member of the Union of Artists of Belarus
Since 2009 — a member of the International Union of Artists (Paris, France)

My spheres of art are easel and monumental painting, architectural design, interior design and decoration.
Landscapes, still lifes, genre sketches, that I create combine the aesthetics of Modern style, Japanese ukiyo-e (picture of moments from everyday life) and European tradition of Academic school of painting.

In my work, memory takes a prominent place. My painting is like a trace of moments that I capture with my senses. I work, however, on the basis of reality. Any object I see give me a lot of information, I feel like a flash, a call to this object and the light and color which surround it. So I take out my sketchbook and draw on paper the main lines of my impression. Then this brief memory takes shape in time, in my life and in my dreams. Various returns I make in my memory with the object in question create its character. The impression transforme itself and ecolve to become a subject of an artwork. It is then that the work begins on canvas. Then come colors and inspiration can flow. At this moment remembrances and feelings are impressed ...

In 1985 graduated from the Republican college Specialized on Music and Fine Arts named after Ivan Ahremchik (now Gymnasium-school of arts n. a. Ivan Ahremchik)
