I graduated in History, in the area of History of Art, at the New University of Lisbon and, between 1991 and in 1993 I attended the Painting Course at the Visual Arts Academy of Macao, after years of practising free painting. Following I attended the International School of Art, Montecastello di Vibio, Italy and the Painting Master Class at the University College of London, Slade School of Fine Art, London, United Kingdom.
I have exhibited my work since 1993 and held over forty individual exhibits, three of which in Macao, namely in the Pousada de São Tiago, with the exclusive support of the Orient Foundation, in the Exhibitions Gallery of the Livraria Portuguesa, at the invitation of the Portuguese Institute of the Orient and in the Consulate General of Portugal as part of the 2012 celebrations of the 10th June - Day of Portugal, of Camões and of the Portuguese Communities.
In Portugal I held several thematic exhibitions: “Free Waters” and "Between Times”, at the Beau Séjour Palace, Lisbon City Hall; “Ambiences”, in the Macao Mission in Lisbon and in the Michel Giacometti Labour Museum, in Setúbal; “Fantasy”, "References of the passing time” and an Anthological Exhibition, on the occasion of the launch of the book “Isabel Nunes – A journey in painting and in life”, at the Water Museum of EPAL, centre sections of the Pumping Station of Barbadinhos and Mãe d’Água of Amoreiras; "Spring Water", at the Water Museum in Coimbra; “In the meantime...
