James Ng

Born in 1988 in Hong Kong,. Lives and works in London. My work is a process of exploring and challenging the potential of interpretation and reaction towards everyday overlooked objects; overlooked object because of our essential, frequent and emotional interaction with them takes away our original perceptive towards them. I often begin with a certain idea of the object, create it and slowly break it apart through changing it, allowing transformation to play the main role in developing work. Ultimately, the work aims to achieve being both disjoint and cohesive; a contradiction that creates flexibility and potential, which I believe is parallel to our present culture and our persistent relation towards it.
