João Bernardo

I'm a Visual Artist working in Sculpture, Drawing and Photography. My main fields of artistic study are the human figure, activity and identity, and the natural world. These interests express themselves mainly in portraits, drawings from life and commemorative art medals.

I won the First Prize for a Public Monument commemorating 30 years of Intermunicipal Community, inaugurated in 2020 in Aveiro, Portugal.

I'm the Portuguese Delegate for FIDEM, the International Federation of the Art Medal, and a member of the Portuguese Numismatic Association.

Master's Degree Student on Sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, Portugal.

Works and studies at the studio of Professor Sculptor João Duarte, retired from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, Portugal.

Since 2016, I've shown my work regularly in collective exhibitions in Portugal, USA and Japan, and participated in numerous contests for Art Medals, Drawing and Photography. Please refer to my website for a more detailed artist curriculum.
