After many years of textural abstracts, and plein air landscape painting, I've recently returned to my first love, the human figure. I'm thrilled by classical painting, and my recent trip to Italy was moving and life-changing. Learning to draw and paint is a continuum for me, it never stops. Although my subject matter has been varied, my work is all intertwined, each series of paintings grows out of earlier work.

I studied painting at the San Francisco Art Institute. I have continued my art education with numerous classes and workshops over the years at schools including UCLA, UC Riverside and elsewhere.
