Jonathan Marsico

Jonathan Marsico is an acrylic painter. Marsico was born in Denver, Colorado in 1971. He has presented his paintings in some of the most noted galleries in the USA and Europe. Large canvases in creative ways are manipulated in creative ways by Marsico, to achieve control of the the flow and stain of his paints. Marsico’s artwork is deemed as some of the most iconic of Color Field Painting.

Marsico has explored a wide variety of mediums and techniques, over the course of his career.

This talented painter began creating artworks at the age of 5. He continued when he was at high school. However, Marsico had to face the criticism of his teachers and decided to stop painting.

Marsico obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in law from the Sturm College of Law of University of Denver. After a couple of years, he realized that law is not his passion.

Marsico enrolled at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design and graduated with magna cum laude honors. He holds a Bachelor in Fine Arts (BFA) degree from this university.
