Josh Cote

I am a self-taught artist who has been creating art prolifically since childhood. I explore the fascinating, sometimes funny, sometimes frustrating dichotomies of life on our planet. Life in the midst of death, the tragedy that hides behind laughter, the animal that lies beneath the human. I incorporate one-of-a-kind antique and vintage found objects to reveal the story of our past in the present. I work in a surrealist and whimsical style that embodies my perspective.
