Julia Brooker

"I fell in love with how I can make transparent layers of colour that reflect light off the aluminium surface of my paintings".

Julia enjoys using vivid jewel box colours and in contrast, she also makes more contemplative paintings that have minimal colour & are partly drawn with graphite.

Julia has been commissioned to make huge black & white paintings in Tokyo. She had her first museum exhibition in OPAM in Oita on Kyushu island, Japan.
