Keith Calvert

I am a transpersonal psychologist and installation artist, with an interest in working "in the space between". I have spent years dreaming of and designing installations that can raise consciousness, through an organic process I call "Intentional Unintentionality". Currently, I have an installation entitled "Forgiveness" in St Luke's (bombed out) Church in Liverpool, which will run from 13th June to 31st August 2012. Last year, I created an installation called "Compassion", which ran for 2 months at St Luke's in Liverpool and 1 month at the Warringto Contemporary Arts Festival.

After graduating with a BSc in Applied Psychology, I studied Analytical Psychology to PhD level at Liverpool John Moore’s University, researching into a technique of Jungian self analysis. One of the fundamental principles of this technique is how the human psyche, as spacial metaphor, exists in space and develops in the space in between archetypes, revealing the possibility for consciousness development. For more than twenty years, I have used this in my work with individuals and groups from all over the world.

As a member of the Transpersonal Learning Community (TLC) at Oasis School of Human Relations, Boston Spa, England, researching communal consciousness, I developed my understanding of the human potential for exploring and co-creating within the transpersonal realms.
